Sun With Moon Japanese Dining & Cafe @Wheelock Place, Orchard

Never had a Japanese cuisine in Singapore so this time I was introduced by my ex-girl to this place called Sun With Moon Japanese Dining & Cafe. Seldom see a Japanese restaurant using a English name for it.
The ambiance is very luxury with a great over the busy street of Orchard Road.
Mekajiki Sushi @S$4.00++
Outlook: 4/5

Overall: 3/5 - This is a swordfish meat. Never tried before so this is the first time trying it. It tastes the same like tuna for me. As for the freshness, yes...it is!

Mixed Salmon Nigiri @S$18.50++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - They are creative enough to present 6 different types of making a salmon. However, the salmon meat does not taste sweet enough as I used to taste usually. Salmon is always well known with their "sweetness" in their meat. These salmons got none on it.

Seafood Mix Kamameshi with Soup @S$26.80++
After the hour glass has finished running, you can open the bowl of rice.
This is the bowl of rice where you can choose to eat with the soup or without soup. The soup is a mushroom soup.
Outlook: 4/5

Taste: 3/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - This is their signature dish with a lot of creative elements in it before you can start dig in. However, the taste is nothing impressive at all. I do suggest to mix the mushroom soup together with the rice to eat to avoid the queasy feeling.

Yogurt Liquor @S$10.00++ is still the best among all that I have ordered on that day. Really unique yogurt taste which has alcohol in it.
I do not understand why such quality restaurant has full phone reservation and a long queue lining up in front of the restaurant. I do not believe this restaurant is qualify to receive such response.

Tamarind Springs @ Jalan TAR, Ampang

Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - It is also known as their signature Symphony of Starters, which takes you across the breadth of Indochinese cuisine with Vietnamese shrimp crystal rolls, lemongrass prawns, Cambodian-style deep-fried shrimp cakes and minced chicken on cinnamon sticks. All served with a variety of piquant sauces. The plate is just nice for 2 pax but the price is too expensive for that small portion.

Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you think that coconut soup should be a milky soup, then you are wrong. This is a chicken tomyam clear soup with coconut meat in it. Very delicious and creative way to make it. The coconut meat is the highlight of the entire soup. It just gave the soup an extra coconut fragrance in it and of course, they are edible. Do not worry, the soup is not too spicy.

Overall: 4/5 - It contains of cashew meringue, Mascarpone cream, honey balsamic cream served with white chocolate dipped vanilla Magnum topped with freeze dried raspberries and fresh strawberries. My suggestion is to mix them all together including the ice cream itself otherwise by eating the ice cream alone will be too sweet. Once you mixed them all together, the magic comes. The sensational taste of creamy, crunchy, a little sourish kick and sweetness combining all together to create a wonderful ice cream dessert. Definitely is a must order dessert when you are there.
