Waku Waku @MidValley Megamall

From Pet's Wonderland to Sushi King and now is Waku Waku. So many shops and restaurants has taken over this lot which it supposed should be a popular area. Waku Waku is a Japanese Restaurant which they are specialized in hamburger. A Japanese hamburger is not the one with bun like we used to have and know but it is a just a piece of minced meat which you usually see in a burger only.
Matcha Float - RM9.90++. This is a normal green tea with lotsa green tea powder taste in it. Not really worth it.
Kurogoma Vanilla @RM9.90++. This is a recommended drink especially to black sesame lover. Rich and thick black sesame taste roam into my mouth which I love it so much.
Marinated Salmon Kinoko @RM15.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Not a lot of pieces of salmon in it but every piece of it are equally good.

Unagi Kabayaki (Half) @RM27.90++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - Their Unagi is very delicious and it does have the "melt in your mouth" effect. Highly recommended and you can opt for their whole piece which is not expensive too!

Hamachi Carpaccio @RM25.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - From the photo you can see a sauce drop out on the plate which is not really nice to see. This shows this restaurant's professionalism in making sure their dishes' appearances. As for the taste, it was a little salty but still the hamachi taste very good and not too fishy like some other restaurants.

Chicken Hamburger Steak (180g) @RM17.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 2/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 2/5 - This is their signature dish but unfortunately their sauce is not amazing and unique at all. Very salty and making the large piece of meat very queasy to eat. I forced myself to finish the whole plate. Conclusion is their signature dish is not appetizing at all.

Overall, this restaurant is quite new and will indeed getting all the attention for it but if they do not make their signature dish better. I doubt it can last. I never tried their beef hamburger which they serve more types than chicken which is only one.

In the end for a restaurant to maintain their customers heart is their non-stop innovation and diversification in their menu. Some maybe do not like what I said. You might think all you need is one signature dish which you maintain to do well over the time and you will get the crowd that you want.

Well, it is the truth as well but only work for hawker center only and not mall-based restaurants which you got the power to choose between many other restaurants. A good example is a good curry mee stall which located in no man's land but still get the crazy queue for the food. Why? Because everyone there knows they are going to have curry mee on that day no matter what and they are willing to travel from far for it and wait. As for mall-based restaurants, we seldom travel all the way to park in the mall and just for a restaurant. We always do a shopping or watch a movie and decided for a meal to have. Browsing through the directory in the mall to decide. So as you can see, it is different thing and requires different strategy.

Total Damage: RM124.60
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Food Serving Speed: Very Fast
Will I Revisit?: Not worth to travel all the way for it but you may give it a try when you already in the MidValley.
