Tanjung Aru Beach, Kota Kinabalu

Tanjung Aru beach is the most famous beach at Kota Kinabalu. It is located just 5 minutes away from the airport.
What disgust me the most is there is a sticky trench bringing the water straight to the sea. Can you imagine after that you swim together with this water and sometimes accidentally you will drink a little? Eeww...
Anyway, this is a great place for family as they built a great facilities such as playgrounds for the kids to enjoy their day.
Well made walking path to make sure visitors to stay away from the green grass.
As for a beginner in landscape photographing, this can be a great place to start to learn the basic.
I wonder if the lotus flower will bloom in this water but if they do, this will be a very beautiful scene.
A great relax place if you are away from that stinky trench.
A number of great restaurants opened to serve you some refreshments by the beach.
Very near to the airport for you to see some airplanes depart from the airport.
We have MAS, MASwings and AirAsia servicing you by taking you through air to Kota Kinabalu. Now, we have a competitive new aviation company which is known as Malindo will be joining the competition. Their prices are very exciting too especially when you are flying from KLIA airport instead of the lousy LCCT airport.
Hopefully, Malindo will stay on with such good prices so we can say goodbye to AirAsia. At this moment, I would have to say goodbye to Kota Kinabalu first. Till next year!
Overall, I am not really recommend the beach here for swimming. I would rather taking a boat to one of the islands at Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park for my family day instead. The cleanliness here is a question mark.
Total Damage: Parking is chargeable but limited spaces.
Cleanliness: 2/5
Recommended?: Not for swimming.
