Signal Observation Hill, Kota Kinabalu

The highest point to observe the whole Kota Kinabalu City is not Mount Kinabalu of course. You cannot see the city from there. Too high! The place I would like to mention is Signal Observation Hill. It is located just 5 minutes away from Jesselton Point.

It is not a very tall hill. So the view you will be seeing is just almost the same level with the buildings around it.
In the near future, we can expect a nice cup of coffee beside the city view. That's a good enjoyment.
That's the whole view of the observation deck.
Not a place you MUST come but definitely you can spend your extra time here if you have. Otherwise, just stay in your hotel room because you can't see sunset here as all the buildings has already cover the view.

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! This is the first time I am dining at Dome Cafe and also the first time I am dining in a hospital restaurant. Wow...what a weird experience. Sorry if you do not like my picture...I am just trying off my Lomo Cam. Sungai Road Laksa @Jin Shui Kopitiam, Townshend Rd

I always like to eat food that is using charcoal because I still remember my mum's soup using charcoal when I was small. Today I have tasted a Laksa cooked by these charcoal. This stall is called Sungai Road Laksa. It is located inside Jin Shui Kopitiam. This is the stall and guess how much their laksa is. Yes, only S$2.00! How can you resist such a laksa selling at such price at Singapore?? They only sell laksa and only one type of mee. So basically you just tell them how many bowls you want or maybe you would like to remove the oysters only. Close shot on the chef. There are 2 chefs and they are brothers whom equally old. The way they prepare the laksa is to rinse the noodle two times like what the photo above before put the final one in it. Look at the queue here. More than 20 peoples in the queue. Most of people think if you travel to Hatyai and not visiting their temples, you are just wasting your time at Hatyai. As for my personal opinion, if you come to Hatyai and did not go to Sports Shooting Club (SSC) Hatyai to experience the shooting experience with a real gun, I think you are not just wasting your time at Hatyai but you are wasting your time being a human. You only live once and there is no better way to understand these guns than coming over to SSC.   Their gun selections are enough to satisfy your urge. From rifle, pistols, revolvers to shotguns. You would be surprised that their rifle is the cheapest. The price is stated from 890 baht nett for a 15 rounds.  I have tried the rifle, beretta and this Smith and Wesson 4506 .45 ACP. After so many years and finally I am able to celebrate my god sister, Elayne jie's birthday on the day itself instead of days advanced or belated days. So we decided to dine to a place where she always had her meals with her family which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Yoke Heng. This restaurant has two-shop lot which is divided by air-conditioned and non air conditioned. The outlook appearance of the restaurant doesn't look appealing to me but this restaurant is so famous among all the well-known Chinese and Hong Kong artiste. Cozy in the Rocket is definitely a not easy to find cafe. Look at their signboard. It is too small for you to even notice them. You will be easily miss this unattractive row of shops with small signboard. Actually it can be very easy. The famous wall painting of the "Little Children on the Bicycle" is actually painted on this cafe. Now, isn't it easy? The moment I stepped inside this cafe, I felt so many nostalgic things decorated around the cafe. This is their kitchen and it is remained how it was look like in the 50s and 60s era. Even their restrooms are well decorated with the nature as their theme. I initially wanted to ask if the kitchen is still open because the board hanging on their entrance is written their business hours is from 11.00am - 4.00pm while I was there 15 minutes before 4.00pm. By the appearance of it, Restoran Yu Hing definitely doesn't look appealing enough to become a tourist spot for you as your dining choice. However, I am still going to introduce to you their noodle. They do serve other variety of food but something worth to be here is only their noodle which is known as Beaufort Fried Noodle. Beaufort is a name of a town in Sabah. This is their very own local delicacies which you won't find it easily at any part of Malaysia or even Sabah. You have to be either in Kota Kinabalu or Beaufort to experience it. We can even hardly able to find a table in this run-down looking restaurant which already suggest that how good they are. You will only see Satay Celup in Melaka and not in any other states. Last year, I have introduced the most famous satay celup in Melaka which is known as Restoran Capitol Satay . This time I wanted to try some where different because in my mind there should be some where better or at least same level with Restoran Capitol Satay since there are really a lot of satay celup restaurant in Melaka. So I understand from the TV programme "Taste with Jason" where Ah Xian highly recommended this restaurant which is called Kingtu Restaurant. Kingtu Restaurant was once closed down but now they reopen again but it is far away from the city. Since it is highly recommended by Ah Xian so let's see what they got here. Over here are the fried stuffs They have 2 fridges like this with a lot of varieties. However, I somehow feel there is nothing special in the variety. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! They have existing queen size or king size bed and extra bed can be requested. To get close and personal with the King of Fruit...the accommodation charges will be Deluxe Villa is charged at RM280/night and standard villa will cost you RM180/night.
