9119 Patisserie Cafe, Kluang

Image
Peek-a-boo...I am back for a while for this posting. I have always wanted to blog about this place which is known as 9119 Patisserie Cafe. It is newly opened last month and bringing a new sense of hype in town. It is something similar like Levain Patisserie & Boulangerie style but still not there yet. I will tell you more why not later on. Anyway, why it is called 9119? Checking in...nowadays...that's the first thing to do in a restaurant or cafe instead of looking at the menu. Beverage counter on the right, oven in the centre and some display of their desserts which I only see tiramisu there. The first feeling I have in this cafe is empty...blank...and some other similar meanings. With having two shops combining together and accommodating over 20+ tables like this in the cafe. I find it they have a pretty high expectation with the response that they are going to have from our locals here. Daring but it is obviously back fire. I was there at 4.00pm on Sunday and i

Offtime, Kluang

Image
Nightlife in Kluang, apart of Ozo Bistro & Studio  for a semi-healthy category, the next will be this Offtime. Very promising hangout and chillout location but still lack of something happening to get crowd attention. It is an open air concept pub which in the end we are feeding mosquitoes. It is located outside of the Kluang Parade and that is the one of part where the most of the crowd gathered on the Friday night. Pretty not happening all I can say. The menu does have some heavy types of food, non-alcoholic drinks and the alcoholic ones. Stretching all the way which is almost a 50 meters long. You can slightly see a pretty small projector screen showing movie without any sound because the background sound is covered by the hip-hop songs. No dance floor. If you kinda "high", you can dance around your own table. Ya, lame...I know. I am not sure how long is this place going to survive with such entertainment they have and not very comfortable place to drink when

Kluang Corner, Kluang

Image
Alright, back to Kluang again...and proceed to more cafe and now we have Kluang Corner! We have a lot of cafe in Kluang already and I am trying my best to cover them all. I really wonder whether is our population in Kluang has increased drastically lately to cover such supplies like this. Durian Kaya Wholemeal Roll @RM3.10 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Durian kaya seems a little interesting but...unfortunately, I am pretty disappointed with the taste because the durian taste is just too strong and does not blend with the kaya. Kaya Butter Toast RM1.90 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Way better than Kluang Station and Old Town for sure! Curry Chicken Fried Mantou @RM5.90 The Mantou Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Curry is full of spicy fragrance, chicken is soft and the mantou is crispy outside and soft inside. Perfectly done just lik

Puff Garden, Mount Austin

Lately met a pretty blogger in Johor Bahru whom introduced me to a cream puff shop which is known as Puff Garden. They are selling a lot of types of cream puff. A puff lover like me just couldn't resist the invitation. A little introduction about their cream puff to make them more interesting. A line of display of their cream puff. There are yam fillings, vanilla fillings and durian fillings. I still prefer their vanilla fillings which is more original to me. Durian is quite lousy even though I am a durian lover while the yam I find it so so to my liking. I am also a yam lover too. The part which they are not good at is the crust. They unable to make the crust crispy. It is just too soft and feel like it is stale. Matcha Red Bean Cream Puff @RM3.50 - This is a no good. The matcha cream is taste more like a whipped cream. It shouldn't taste that way. Only the vanilla is good but others I will have a reserved in my opinion because I have tasted better and it

Sin Lian Shin, Kuching

Image
Finally this is my last post about my Kuching trip. Actually before I started this trip, I did my homework about good food and great activities at Kuching. So that's why I able to present to you all these good locations. Today will be the most famous local delicacy of all which is the Kolo Mee. I may have given a brief introduction about Kolo Mee at the Golden Arch Cafe post but that is not really the best. Sin Lian Shin is recognized by the local as one of the best. However, I had a hard time to find this place. I have research a couple of times in the internet and I found that they are quite lazy to give a map location or even an address and even their business hours. It is quite inconvenient for us if we do not have those information and it is quite pointless for them to post in the internet too. Since I understand what I usually need, those information will be given in my every post. Please feel free to click on the map link given at the end of the post. It is very accura

Ten-Ichi Japanese Restaurant, Kuching

Image
Even at Kuching, I couldn't stop myself from trying their Japanese food here. I found out a decent looking restaurant which is known as Ten-Ichi Japanese Restaurant and I was amazed with the number of patrons in this restaurant. They are fully occupied and in another word is full house. This is the first time I sit on a bar table because most of the seat are fully taken. Well, I do not mind to have up close and personal with the chef. Sashimi on Boat @RM130.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 1/5 Price: 5/5 Overall: 3/5 - Look is deceiving and the price is deceiving too since this is the cheapest you can get in a Japanese Restaurant like this standard. 9 types with 3 pieces each is really really cheap. I was shocked when the chef is explaining to me. However, the taste of the fishes...yucks! Like Sushi King standard which is very fishy especially the Tuna which I almost vomit in front of the chef but I was kind enough to swallow all of them and rinse thor

Fairy Cave a.k.a Gua Pari-Pari, Bau

Image
Fairy Cave a.k.a Gua Pari-Pari is the second cave that I explored in Kuching after my experience at Wind Cave a.k.a Gua Angin . This cave is also located at Bau which is approximately 18 km away from the Wind Cave .  The cave will be right inside the heart of this mountain. All right let's start our exploration! Oh, by the way. There is no entrance fee will be charged in this cave unlike the Wind Cave . Yes, you will see this four-storey high tower which you need to climb to reach to the entrance of the cave. You may start to sigh or grumbling of its height. Don't worry, we have an alternative road to the the entrance. How about this route? Hehehehe...I think you should know which route to choose by now. After a few puffing sound and sighing sound made by my sister, here we are reaching the entrance of the cave which is just lie beyond this staircase. I believe this four-storey tower has taken almost 50% of her stamina. On the top of the entrance of the ca
