Kedai Restoran Kuo Man, Kota Kinabalu

I still can remember my those days still working in an event company, I always fly to Kota Kinabalu 4 times a year and Kedai Restoran Kuo Man for their delicious breakfast. This restaurant has been here for decades and their size is still the same after so many years since my last visit. One thing never change is their taste.
Their homemade sauce is the reason people are here for. Spicy fragrance and savory taste is definitely irresistible.
Their dried noodle is the one who is prefer the most. Tangy and springy noodle as if it is jumping around your mouth. I like that kind of feeling. That is how a noodle suppose to be like.
They do have soup based noodle @RM8.50 too which is not that good as the noodle has soaking up too much soup which has made the whole noodle is saggy and soft. By the way, this is the fish paste soup which is one of their signature. The fish taste is very strong and fresh. It is made very big to make sure you get the fullest taste out of it.
The best among all their soup is their beef tendon soup @RM9.50. The tendon is so soft which melts into your mouth which immersing the fresh beef taste with sweetness in it. This scrumptious feeling is too good beyond words.
The beef soup @RM9.50 is good too. Soft and fresh but once you had tasted their beef tendon soup, you will not prefer their beef soup anymore.
The prawns is their prawn soup @RM8.50 is not tender and tangy as you thought it would be. However the amount of prawns given is very generous. I would prefer if the soup based is full of prawn fragrance. Seems like they just use the same soup based for every dishes.
Their pork soup @RM7.50 is very good too. Soft meat which you can swallow without much chewing effort.
You can skip their yong tau fu @RM1.30/pc. Nothing memorable about their yong tau fu. Overall, I would recommend only the beef tendon soup. Other than that basically will not make you travel purposely for them.
