Yat Beng Wor @Scotts Garden, Jalan Klang Lama

Everyone knows the famous Ah Beng character either in their comedy series or even in theater lately during Chinese New Year. At the same time, last year they have opened a steamboat shop called Yat Beng Wor which is located at Scotts Garden. This shop is opened and managed by Jack Lim's brother.

Their steamboat is served in buffet style. Lunch session is charged at RM28.80 (adult) and dinner session is charged at RM31.80 (adult). As for child, it is flat rate at RM16.80.

The traffic at Jalan Klang Lama is really a nightmare especially a place like Scotts Garden which is built along the road. I really feel it is affecting the business for restaurants which are highly depending on the dinner time. Of course other leisure spots will have no issue as the traffic will be reduced after 8.30pm.

That's Ah Beng. The ambassador for this steamboat shop.
Very attractive graffiti.
Conveyor belt like sushi style to pick all the food we like! Eat all you can! Wee~~~
Plenty of sauces to choose from.
Bottomless drinks. However, no soft drinks available and the beer is charged separately.
King's Ice Cream.
Each person has their own pot. Pretty hygienic and very personal.
The choice of soups for the steamboat are Chicken Clear Soup, Tom Yam Soup and Chinese Herbal Soup. This is the Tom Yam Soup which is pretty hot & spicy. Very good! Somehow much more spicy than Restaurant Harbour Steamboat.
Chinese Herbal Soup - additional RM3.00 is required. If you do not think the taste is thick enough, you can add one more at free of charge. However, somehow I do think one is enough to make the soup full of Chinese herbal fragrance.
Clam - this is the best among all that I have eaten because of its freshness. Sadly, this is the only plate I got for that night where only 3 tables were occupied at 6.30pm which I find it pretty ridiculous.
Raw meat and fried food are ordered separately. This is the pork slice. I find the black spots very unpleasant. Looks kinda dirty to me.
This lamb slice is still the best among all the raw meats.
This is the chicken slice where all these meat slices is the same like Restaurant Harbour Steamboat. The best part is you can order as much as you want. Furthermore, the waitress was so kind enough to ask us to add more meat.

This is the fish slice and the following pictures I will not name them as you can know by looking at the pictures.

For your reminder, even though it is great to eat all you can but please do not waste the food. Food is for you to enjoy and not for us to waste them.
This restaurant has many plus points and also has minus points too. Most of them already listed earlier. Some add on such as they do not have any real signature food for example homemade food. Most of their foods are able to get from the Tesco which is just next to Scotts Garden
which in short means nothing special.
They have merchandises for sale.
Ah Beng miniature.
Everyone knows about this I guess. No introduction required.
