Perfume Dance Cafe @IOI City Mall

While browsing through the directory at IOI City Mall to look for a place for a decent lunch, I was so puzzled why is the shop named Perfume Dance popped up under the food & beverage category. My first glance was thinking that the management must has made a silly mistakes. It is logical when the word "perfume" and "dance" got no relation with food at all. It is either a perfume shop or a dance class. That's what I thought not until I clicked inside and saw the pictures and the description.

The moment I saw the interior design of it, I was awed by it. It is really an exquisite design and the space is spacious. It does gave us a little privacy for us to have a nice catch up and of course not to forget...selfie.

The chandelier, chairs, tables, mirrors, paintings and mirrors are the every details making this restaurant to be so elegantly captivating. You will definitely fall in love of this cafe the moment you see it. All these concept is brought from Taiwan and the owner is a Taiwanese too.
With such nice design, it will be added bonus to held an amazing gathering or party in this cafe. They have just a nice area just for what you need.
Caramel Macchiato @RM14.90++

French Kiss @RM14.90++ - This is the best chocolate drink bar far I have ever had. The chocolatey taste in it is rich and is not overly sweet which you cannot taste the delightful cocoa taste anymore. This simple cup of hot chocolate will definitely lift up your day.
Pumpkin Soup @RM10.90++

Price: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - Delicious creamy with rich pumpkin aroma. Even a non-pumpkin lover like me have every reason to love pumpkin again.

Smoke Salmon Honey Melon @RM18.90++
Outlook: 5/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - The smoke salmon is well done with the smokey and sweet salmon taste you would have expected. As for the honey melon, it so soft, juicy and sweet which you would definitely wouldn't want to share. However the only question is the combination of the salmon and the melon. In my opinion, they don't really gel together well. Even I tried to have them together, their taste being distinguish separately on my taste bud.

Risotto Scallop & Pesto Sauce @RM28.90++
Outlook: 4/5

Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - The fresh pesto taste just roam inside your mouth which is very pleasant and inviting. You would definitely wanted to get another few scoops but after almost half of the plate, you queasy feeling started to make you dislike it and you know by that time you couldn't finish the whole plate. So my advice would be they can reduce another 1/3 of the current portion and same goes to the price to make it more affordable. The creamy pesto sauce and rice are a very filling combination.

Spaghetti with Chicken in Pesto Sauce @RM22.90++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Same pesto sauce and same queasy feeling for the result. Once again, the same recommendation which is reduce the portion and the price. Plus, extra improvement on the not so impressive chicken meat. A better recipe to marinate to bring the taste in the chicken and to soften the meat texture.

Spaghetti with Shrimp Mentaiko Sauce @RM25.90++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - It is a less queasy choice than the pesto sauce. The best part is the popping sensation of the fish roe. It is an exciting feeling to have something keeps popping in your mouth when everytime you chew. A feeling you will never get bored.

Dancing Diva @RM22.90++
Outlook: 5/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - The reason I recommend their main course to be in a smaller portion because their dessert selections are too attractive and it is absolutely a sin for not ordering at least one of it. If their patrons had a filling main course, it is definitely a disappointment for them for not able to order their attractive dessert. This dancing diva's high heel is really made from a genuine white chocolate and it is definitely edible. The seductive cream with the homemade strawberry ice cream are a devilish combination with the cake. You will definitely fall in love with every bite you are going to have.

Of course, we need to feed the camera first. It is too pretty not to pose together with it and it is too pity to eat it just like that.
Overall, I like their space, design, food, drinks and desserts. Did I just mentioned almost everything? I think I did...oh yes, except service which there is a big room of improvement. Their foreign worker is less functional. Unable stay proactive with the tables that are calling for them, gave wrong receipt from other tables, not able to communicate with the patron with simple English or Malay. They should hire more local workers especially Malay. Please do not misunderstood me, I am not trying to pull a racist card here. The reason I suggest this is because like it or not, Putrajaya has more Malay race than any other races. That is a fact. To attract more Malay patrons into their cafe, they have to hire more Malay workers to make their cafe which is truly pork free. Even though they did mentioned but it is not convincing enough. Last but not least, they need to maintain the quality or better! The reason I stressed this point out because such cafe usually failed to manage to maintain the quality if their sales started to drop. It is worrisome for a food blogger like me who highly recommended a place at this time but after a while, their quality suddenly dropped drastically.

Total Damage: RM174.05

Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 3/5

Will I Revisit?: Yes
