Leading the cast of Alice in Wonderland  are three ladies who are graduates of Shanghai Theatre Academy: Xie Xing Yi, Xu Qin and Zhang Shuhui. Xie, who plays Alice, has appeared in other musicals like Ji Zhi Bai Lao Hu and Li Fao Shi Tao De.
Xu Qin, who appears as the White Rabbit, has also appeared in both film theatre; her biggest roles being in the musicals Xun Zhao Chu Lian and Ai Zai Tian Ji, and the TV drama, Piao Yang Guo Hai Lai Kan Ni.
Zhang Shuhui, who plays the Red Queen, is an opera singer and ballerina from the Beijing Dance Academy. Her list of credentials include roles in TV shows and theatre-among them the TV drama Huan Le Song and the musical Zhi Jia Ge. Personally, she is my favourite among all because she sings very well and have a good vocal.
Other male supporting characters are very funny and they really know how to make your kids laugh. Your kids will definitely focus on them all the time whenever they are on the stage.
There are dancing and singing too. They are interactive enough to make the audience to sing with them too! That's how to make you feel as if you are a part of the character in the Alice in Wonderland. Ten original songs will be performed including In a World of My Own by Alice, I'm Late by White Rabbit, We're not Waxworks by Duchess, Painting the Roses Red by Knave of Hearts, and What Genus Are You by Caterpillar. The background music is by the German Radio Orchestra.
For your information, the performance is in Mandarin but there is English subtitle available so it is suitable for everyone to watch.
The first ever Sino-Canadian-produced multimedia musical, it is a one-of-its-kind production that sees the application of interactive technology in film projection. The organizer describe it as "audio-visual illusion not found in common stage plays" and one that redefines the world of musical theatre. The audience can expect to be awed a they witness the visual feast provided by the changing backdrop that is the stage setting.
Follow Alice on her adventures in the Wonderland, as she makes friends with quirky characters from out of this world. Will Alice overcome all odds to save her friends from the evil rule of the Red Queen?
Do not miss this exciting opportunity to bring your kids during their school holiday to witness the magical theatre show.
Dance together and have a photography session with them by the end of the show. Keep the photo as an everlasting memory as a family trip.
I enjoyed myself that day. How about you? So do not hesitate and come over to Genting Highlands to experience the magical moment with your beloved kids.
