Kilometer Nol Monument, Pulau Weh

Pulau Weh has a lot of activities to do during no flight day. A visit at Kilometer Nol Monument is one of them. It is located 10 minutes away from Pantai Iboih. This place is a must visit whenever you are in Pulau Weh because this is symbolized the most northern point of whole Indonesia country.
Before walking at the edge of Pulau Weh, you will pass by a lot of souvenir shops. They are some local eateries too.
You would be surprised that you will not feel any wind when you are walking along this road but once you are stepping up on the road blockade, the gushing strong wind is blowing on to your face.
When you climb up the monument, you will feel the wind too. But at the bottom of the monument, there are no wind at all. As you can see the tree is blown out of shape.
From here, you can see the Great Nicobar island which is a part of Andaman and Nicobar Islands which is belongs to India. The people on that island is surprisingly not Hinduism but Muslim. It is a whole history to tell which I am not going to share with you here. You may find out from Google if you are interested with it.

There is a man made platform where you can walk on to go to the edge of the island. You will see people here fishing under the strong wave.
The northern part and the western part of Pulau Weh will get the most wave. The eastern part you will see extremely calm sea. It is because part of Pantai Iboih is protected by Pulau Rubiah. It is a tiny island to block all the wave away and keep the Pantai Iboih so calm. It is an amazing physical geography.
Have a coconut at 12,000 IDR and take a sit facing the Andaman Sea. This is an unforgettable experience that you ever had. It really can make you relax and calm yourself. I can sit here for hours.
Overall, this place is a must visit place. You just need to hire the driver for a day and he will take you all around Pulau Weh famous spots. Furthermore, this place doesn't need any entrance fee. Why not dropping by?
