Yorokobi Art Cafe, Workshop & Gallery, Sri Petaling

My readers started to complain to me that I have been covering too much about Sri Petaling. I am sorry to say that I just can't help it because this newly built shop lot at Bandar Baru Sri Petaling especially along the Jalan Radin Bagus is creating a lot of new entrepreneurs and F&B protege to start opening amazing restaurants in the area. You need to be here to witness the unbelievable growth of it. A good example is Yorokobi Art Cafe, Workshop & Gallery. How can you not noticing this cafe with a huge and cute bunny sitting on it? And how can you not visiting it?
It is located at the first floor. The ground floor is still remained vacant as of date.
The cafe is not really big because it is divided into two which are the cafe which is the reason I am here for and the other one is the art gallery.
The art gallery is the place where they will have a class for kids to explore their creative side of them. The class is open on Monday and Tuesday so when the classes are opened, you are not allowed to visit their cafe.
This is some of the art done by the kids. I find them really cute and interesting. What a great place for the kids to learn about art.
Alright, back to the topic. They do serve food, drink and dessert. I can't believe such a small cafe can still serve so many things.
With me that day was my 12 years long buddy, Ms. Kee. She just came back from Korea and I just came back from Lombok. Stay tuned with my post about Lombok soon!
Halloween is coming soon and they are introducing a couple of new drinks just for the creepy day. One of the drinks is known as Wicked Potion. As you can see from the picture above, you are served with a soda drink with orange, apple, strawberry, kiwi and home spiced raspberry. After that, you will need to spike the drink yourself with the Sangria Mocktail with butterfly pea flower extract. And finally...ta da...you have just brewed yourself a Wicked Potion @RM13.00
That's the Sangria Mocktail with butterfly pea flower extract. It looks just like a blue ink. The taste is very exciting with lots of fruit taste and bubbly soda in it. It is not a bad drink at all. You should try it before this drink gone after Halloween Day!
Matcha Affogato @RM8.50
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Got bored with vanilla ice cream so this time I tried their Matcha ice cream with an espresso shot in it. Turn out to be not a bad dessert too. Sometimes we just need to go for a little change in life to make our life more colorful.

Duck Confit Aglio Olio @RM18.00
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 4/5
Overall: 3/5 - Spaghetti tossed in duck infused oil served with a 3 hours slow cooked duck leg. The spaghetti is a little too salty. I am not sure is it the saltiness comes from the cheese or the spaghetti soak too much salt water. Anyway, the duck confit is not bad at all. Crispy skin with tender meat without any gamey taste which some of the restaurants failed to get rid of the unpleasant taste.

Sticky Banoffee @RM13.00
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Looks like a parfait with ginger, banana, dates, cinnamon and peanuts. Yes, you have read it right. Ginger and dates are in it. These two rare ingredients in a dessert has made me hesitating for so long to order it. Since I am an adventurous guy, so I decided to order it and take it up as a challenge for me. Can you imagine how the taste might be? Surprisingly turned out to be amazing. The ginger is not so strong but it is enough to entice your taste bud to dig for more. The dates are sweet and cinnamon taste is the strongest among all. I was really awe by their creativity in getting the right combination in a dessert.

Overall, we do like this place with nice ambiance and delicious dessert. I am not sure if their other main course is good or not but I am very sure their dessert will not disappoint me. I will definitely revisit again for more dessert! In addition, I will not stop exploring more food place at Sri Petaling. If you have not been to Sri Petaling, that means you will not understand what food heaven means.
