Image
If you are a coffee lover and looking for a good coffee in JB, stop looking and just search for EspressoLab in your waze app. This is a coffee enthusiast cafe which is very serious in serving the best coffee to people like you.  All their beans are freshly roasted and freshly grind. All their coffee beans are American roast or some of us known it as City Roast but for a simple English, it is called medium roast. This roast is medium brown in color with a stronger flavor and a non-oily surface. It’s often referred to as the American roast because it is generally preferred in the United States. Cafe Latte @RM11.00. A good coffee is a cup of coffee where no sugar is required and this latte did it just right. Melbourne Iced Coffee @RM16.00. It is really delicious compare with the one I had at The Owls Cafe was a disaster for coffee lovers. Family Chinese Food, Austin Heights

Image
Family Chinese Food restaurant is a Chinese cuisine restaurant. Please do not confuse this Chinese cuisine with our Malaysian Chinese cuisine. They are totally different. This restaurant serves cuisine from China. China itself is very huge as we know. China has 23 provinces, 5 autonomous regions and 2 administrative regions. Every each provinces and regions has their unique cuisine. So for this restaurant, they only serve Szechuan province cuisine, Hunan province cuisine and Dongbei province cuisine. All the 3 cuisines are well-known for their spiciness. The reception for China cuisine is still not very well accepted even Malaysian Chinese as well. You wouldn't be surprised the restaurant is empty despite during the prime hours. However, the prospects and opportunities are there if they able to hang on because our Sultan Johor has accepted investors from China to invest in Johor especially the famous Iskandar project. We will be expecting more people from China coming into Jo...

Lately if you would notice that, Japanese cuisine has got us all lazy. We always facing trouble when the moment their huge and thick menu is putting right in front of us. We are all having the same struggle to choose so in the end a Japanese restaurant starts to include omakase set in their menu to rescue us from this dilemma. Sou Omakase is even better by just provide a full omakase set in their menu. There are no ala-carte menu at all. This restaurant is opened by Chef Fukushi from Yokohama and he gathered his finest men in his team to serve their best omakase to us. Their set lunch as cheaper which is starts from RM118++/pax onwards. As for their dinner, it is really expensive. If you would like to sit here to get closer with the chef, you are advised to book in advice because there are only 6 seats available per day. Furthermore, you are required to take their tasting menu course which is cost RM450++/pax. Is it really worth it? Read on to find out! Steamed Abalone with H...

The Owl's Cafe, Bukit Jalil

Image
I got to know about The Owl's Cafe through the powerful social media. Some random people shared about this unique cafe in the Facebook and one of my friend just click "LIKE" on it. It is as simple as that. No advertisement fee is required and I got to know the existence of this cafe. Do you know actually this cafe is located at the first floor which is above a salon called Le'V. The point here is nobody will look up at a first floor for food if is not because of the social media. However, you just look at the overwhelming crowd here. You do not even know it is full house if you are not making the effort to get up here. I had to queue for a long 10 minutes to get a seat for 2. I think you can roughly imagine that everyone is here is just because of none others but the social media. This cafe is full of owls! I really do love owls because they are really cute. I just wonder how do they able to collect all different kind of owls. My friend, Ms. Cheryl is ...
