Restoran Makanan Laut Yoke Heng, Serdang

Image
After so many years and finally I am able to celebrate my god sister, Elayne jie's birthday on the day itself instead of days advanced or belated days. So we decided to dine to a place where she always had her meals with her family which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Yoke Heng. This restaurant has two-shop lot which is divided by air-conditioned and non air conditioned. The outlook appearance of the restaurant doesn't look appealing to me but this restaurant is so famous among all the well-known Chinese and Hong Kong artiste. They have dined in this restaurant and the owner had put all the photographs with them on their wall of fame. So come and look for yourself to see which famous actors and actresses have dined here. I am very confident that you all will know them. Claypot Noodle (2 pax) @RM16.00++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - This is their signature claypot noodle which has a thick broth with full of fragrance in it. Restaurant Coco Steamboat, Old Klang Road

Image
This crowd seems like in a seminar but definitely they were not. They were at the Coco Steamboat waiting for a seat. For your information, this was just half of the crowd that was waiting. There were another half of it waiting outside the restaurant by standing with hope their name or number to called. You might think that this restaurant only provide few tables to accommodate their patron. If you do think that way, you are wrong.  This is the restaurant's dining halls. I would dare to say it is easily more than 50 tables available here. It is like a grand ballroom size in here and all fully packed. They have a smaller room which is in air-conditioned which fits about 20 tables only. If you would want to reserve a seat, you need to reserve before 6.00pm. After 6.00pm, they will not accept any reservation and you will be queuing up like what you saw in my first picture. For your information, the free parking in front of the restaurant is very limited. However, you can park...

Restoran Crab Generation, Taman Len Seng

Image
Due to sudden crave of crab, here I am at Restoran Crab Generation. This restaurant is really focus with their crabs. They have a lot of different ways to cook their crabs. I came to taste their peanut buttery crab which was unfortunately not available on that day. However, I still got a decent crab to taste. So read on! Lala in a Superior Soup @RM28.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - The lala is big enough for you to chew longer in your mouth. The superior soup is really good but they put too much ginger in it which has cover up the pure sweetness in the soup instead. Otherwise, I would have given full mark for this. Homemade beancurd with seafood @RM38.00++ Outlook: 5/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 4/5 - The tofu itself was quite normal but after having the attractive scallop, baby abalone and prawn beside it, it has changed everything about this dish. It is no longer ordinary when the scallops and the prawn...

Soft Launch Cafe & Desserts, Sri Petaling

Image
Another cafe is opened at Sri Petaling which is known as Soft Launch Cafe & Desserts. This cafe is opened at the First Floor to enjoy lower rental fee. In order to make themselves notable to the public, they did invited the media to help them to promote them. The cafe is just occupied a single shop lot but the moment I stepped in this cafe, it looks bigger than I thought it should be. They even divided the cafe into smoking area and non-smoking area. The food selection is not a lot and mostly pasta which is simple and you do not need a large kitchen to prepare it. The kitchen has been shrunken to put more tables and that's why the cafe looks bigger than usual. Cafe Latte @RM10.00. Fair price but unfortunately they over roasted the beans. It is a dark roast bean. I am really surprised that this cafe is trying to show to us that they are specialized in coffee making (they even have drip coffee) but have chose a dark roast coffee to serve to their customers. That...

Restoran Minmax, PNB Darby Park

Image
Dim sum is always everyone's favourite even to our Muslim friends but finding a Halal and delicious dimsum is not that easy at all. After I have dined in Restoran Minmax, I know this is the best ever Halal dimsum that's available in Malaysia currently. It advised to come before 12.00pm during office hours or else you will have a hard time finding a seat. Even you able to find a seat, you will need to wait for a long time for the food to arrive. Prawn Dumplings @RM6.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 4/5 - The prawn that is hidden inside the dumpling skin is so big and tangy. It is so fresh which you wish there is more than a prawn inside it. Absolutely delicious! Scallop Dumpling @RM12.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - You are not getting a tiny pieces and you are not getting just half but one whole 20 cents sized scallop inside the dumpling. The scallop is so fresh and succulent too w...

Skillet@163, Fraser Place

Image
Skillet @163 has been awarded as the best European restaurant in 2015 by TimeOut Kuala Lumpur. They successfully outclassed Albion KL, Mercat Barcelona Gastrobar, Soleil and Yeast Bistronomy which are all worthy opponents. For your information, European cuisine means food from all around Europe including Eastern Europe and Scandinavian countries. They just come onto scene last year by taking over Mediteca at Fraser Place and managed to secure everyone's heart to secure the award. This fine dining restaurant does provide smoking section for their smoking patrons. They do have second floor which is opened when they have a lot of customers or special event only. This is also the first time for my boy to dine in a fine dining western restaurant. They do give complimentary appetizer (above), a mocktail and a creme brulee as our dessert too. We did not order a set lunch but somehow we received all these which makes me wondering how do they determine to serve these. I have b...
