Savini Ristorante Italiano @The Intermark

It is an Italian indulgence at Savini Ristorante Italiano at Intermark. The restaurant itself is large, boasting a fully equipped bar, bar lounge, cigar lounge, 3 private rooms and a dining hall. It seats 80 pax and patrons will experience true fine dining with those closest to their hearts.
Come through the entrance and you will be greeted with a cozy atmosphere exuding extravagance, reflecting the striking colour palette of each individual section of the restaurant. Take the time to walk through the establishment and you will be at awe with the imagination cascaded into every nook and corner.
No scenery to be expect from this restaurant but I love the ambiance which gave me the relaxation and calm to enjoy the food that is about to serve to me.
With me today is my dearest Serene Tan. It has been a long time not catching up with her and we had a quick one during her lunch break. She is one of the member in the Summer Singers A Capella Band (S.A.B). It is one of the potential A Capella band that you should watch out for. They are a bunch of talented and dedicated music lover whom passionate to bring the best music to their audience. You should check them out at their facebook page here. Do mark my word, they will be famous and recognized as the best A Capella band in Malaysia.
Back to the topic. They serve bread stick, normal bun bread and charcoal bread to us while waiting for the dishes to be ready. We had ourselves their set lunch. They offer 2 sets of set lunch which are a normal set lunch @RM49.00++ and Executive set lunch @RM98.00++. The normal set lunch just comes with either soup of the day or salad, main course, dessert and a cup of coffee or tea. As for the Executive lunch you will have everything including the salad and soup. The choice for Executive lunch will be slightly luxury.
Soup of the day - A delicious mushroom soup with creamy and thick mushroom taste in it. Not something you will get from their ala-carte menu. You only get it when you order from their set menu.
Mesclun Leaf Salad of Fresh Mozzarella and Feta Cheese with Diced Fruits and Balsamic Vinaigrette - Delicious salad which is best for those who are on diet and also to those who need to kick start their appetite before the main course which is done by the balsamic vinegar.
For their normal set lunch menu, you got 3 choices of main courses which are Spaghettini Bolognese Tossed with Tomato Minced Beef Ragu and Herbs, Salmon Rigatoni Alfredo Creamed Rigatoni pasta and Pan seared salmon and Italian-Seasoned Grilled Chicken Breast Served with Sautéed Vegetables and Spicy Pizzaola Sauce. What you can see from the picture above is the Salmon Rigatoni Alfredo Creamed Rigatoni pasta and Pan seared salmon. The salmon looks really small and dried up but surprisingly it taste really good. The pasta is well done with extremely smooth texture of creamy gravy. However, it will makes you easily have the queasy feeling.
As for the main course choices under the Executive lunch set will be Cubed Black Angus Beef with mashed Truffled Potatoes, Vegetables and Ju, Baby lobster thermidor with Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Braised Lamb shank with tomato Sauce and sautéed mushrooms. What I had is the Baby Lobster Thermidor with Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The lobster is fresh and tasty but not the Aglio Olio. It is a little too salty to my liking.
Vanilla Madagascar Creme Brulee served with Chocolate Brownie base and Raspberry Sorbet - it is a very creative way to serve an ordinary creme brulee. We got the mixture of the soft and sweet creme brulee with slight crunchy sensation from the chocolate brownie and additional sourish taste from the sorbet. The feeling is just welcoming and amazing for me. I can never get enough of it. You can order this dessert from their ala-carte menu at RM39.00++.
Overall experience was great and I will definitely revisit again for their signature food which are Cod Fish Ala Savini Cajun roasted Cod Fish with Cherry Tomatoes and Madagascan Vanilla Pot Infused Mango Salsa and Spaghettini Ala Savini Black and White Spaghettini with Seafood baked in Aluminium Foil. Not to forget their interesting gelato flavor which is made from squid ink! I wonder what does it taste like. As far as I can remember, squid ink is tasteless.
