Chakri Palace @Pavilion Mall KL

Image
When you have travel to Thailand so often like I do, you might not have crave so much for any Thai cuisine in Malaysia which their authenticity is a doubt. However, sometimes I really cannot control my addiction towards Thai cuisine so I have to settle myself at Chakri Palace when having my nice stroll with my family at Pavilion after my brother's ROM.  Tomyam Talay (3 pax)@RM47.30++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Even though it is a 3 pax portion but it can serves 6 of us. This clear soup tomyam was nicely done and not too spicy. The spicy kick is still there plus the fresh seafood taste in it...really pleasant feeling. Not a bad choice to make. Gaeng Keaw Wan Gung @RM29.90++ Outlook: 3/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - Not a spicy type of green curry prawn but I taste it is quite acceptable for me even though my brother said otherwise. Maybe he does not like the strong coconut milk taste in it. Ph...

Restoran Robson Heights Fresh Seafood @Brickfields

Image
At the same area with Restoran Siu Siu  at Brickfields, there is another seafood restaurant which is known as Restoran Robson Heights Fresh Seafood.  Steamed Catfish @RM156.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - The taste is fresh and good but the problem is they chose the fish which has a lot of fats in it. So there is barely meat left for 12 of us. It is a very unthoughtful choice by the chef. Lala in Superior Soup @RM45.00 Outlook: 2/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste:2/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - Nothing wrong with their delicious superior soup but it is just the lala which is not fresh at all. I cannot believe they still highly recommended us to take. I feel they are trying to sell of their not fresh lala away quickly. Paku Pakis @RM30.00 - This ridiculous plate of vegetable which is not really delicious but cost RM30.00. Chacoal Tofu @RM28.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 4/5 - It i...

Tonkatsu @Pavilion Mall KL

Image
Tonkatsu has been around for very long time at Pavilion but I never make myself to dine because they are serving rice which I am not very fancy. However, this time I am here with my parents who cannot consider their meal complete without rice, Tonkatsu is just perfect for them. To all Muslim friend, they serve pork and 80% of their meal is got to do with pork. One of the specialty about their meal is to grind your own sesame. My parents enjoying themselves grinding their own sesame. The sesame is truly fragrance after grinding. It is better remain like this rather than adding their sauce. This is after adding the super salty sauce which I find it spoiling the fragrant sesame. Buta Kimuchi Zen @RM29.00++ Outlook: 2/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - I never like kimchi and I don't know why my mom order it. So I might be biased about this. Restoran Orchard View Yong Tau Foo, Ampang New Village

Image
Ampang is famous with their Yong Tau Foo so a lot of restaurant using this existed name to open a lot of Yong Tau Foo restaurant. Just along this small road of Jalan Merdeka already have 3 Yong Tau Foo restaurants next to each other. I wanted to go to the famous Foong Foong Restaurant but unfortunately they were closed on the Mooncake Festival. In the end I have to settle my Yong Tau Foo indulgence with this Restoran Orchard View Yong Tau Foo. It was a very disappointing one. So I will just run through quickly about it. Their dumplings is big but too salty. Spoiling my appetite and wasting my time when I have to use hot water to rinse it. Another thing I dislike was the waitress whom keep pushing me to order their Steam Salted Chicken which she claimed that is their restaurant's signature. So in the end, I just ordered it to see how good is their signature dish. I am expecting a good Steam Salted Chicken should be something which is salty enough to bring out the chicken f...
