Nobu Japanese Restaurant @KLCC

Just below Marini's on 57, there is a Japanese restaurant which is known as Nobu at Level 56. To get to here, you have to go to Pertronas Tower 3 which is located near Chanel outlet if you are coming from inside the Suria KLCC mall.
They are open as early as 6.00pm so that you have enough time to catch the sunset which is pretty awesome.
The night scenery is the one everyone is waiting for to see. It is quite fun to spot familiar buildings in the night like this.
It is really an awesome feeling to sit so up close and personal with  Petronas Twin Tower.
This is what you see when you look up through the window. During at night, you can see beautiful lights shining all over the tower.
When you look down, you can see the bird eye view of Suria KLCC and KLCC Park. At night, you will be able to see them playing the musical fountain with beautiful lights playing together.
They got a sushi bar available for those who prefer to see chef in action rather than kl city view.
Apart of sushi bar, they have a bar table too for those who prefer to have a drink only.
Nobu is not an ordinary Japanese restaurant because they have mixed with Peruvian style in it. It is really an exciting feeling for a Japanese cuisine fan like me to experience something different than a traditional one.
This is a truly romantic spot to dine with your special person. Definitely going to leave an unforgettable memory for both.
New Style Sashimi White Fish @RM65.00++

Overall: 4/5 - The first bite you will feel the strong sourish kick into your mouth but the next piece your tongue seems like started to accommodate with the strong taste and started to receive other fragrance from the onion and the sesame too. It is really beyond to explain the evolution from a simple sashimi to a taste like this. All of the sudden, your appetite has been opened up by it.

Tiradito White Fish @RM50.00++

Overall: 3/5 - Tiradito is a Peruvian style of sashimi. The influence of Japanese immigrants has made the impact of the traditional Peruvian dish. It is also has the same sourish taste but the only different it got the spicy kick in it as well from the chili powder. The taste is amazing! Sourish at first and end with a spicy kick. Truly amazing experience!

Sashimi Moriawase @RM200.00++

Overall: 3/5 - I still need to order their traditional sashimi. 8 different types of sashimi served for us. All are so fresh, sweet and delicious except the mackerel. I find that all the restaurants I have dined in so far has the same issue with their mackerel which has the strong fishy taste in it. They did put little ginger and onion on top of it to get rid of the smell but it seems like the smell is too strong to be covered up just like that. Apart from the mackerel, I have to acknowledged that this is one of the best premium quality sashimi I have tasted so far.

Black Cod (220gm) @RM160.00++

Overall: 3/5 - I always feel that the cod fish served by the Japanese restaurants are always so small in size. This time I get to taste a black cod which is almost as big as a steak for me to indulge with. Too bad that they burned some part of it. They should have changed it for a restaurant like this instead of serving to the customer. However, the taste is still as good as expected especially you dip in a little bit of Yuzu sauce at the side to enhance the fragrance of the meat. Outstanding!

Suntory Whisky Cappuccino @RM35.00++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - It looks like a cup of coffee which is actually made of coffee creme brulee at the bottom, follow by cocoa crumble, a junior scoop of milk ice cream on top of it and finished with whisky foam which you can see in the picture above. To eat this, you MUST dig in deep from the top of the foam way down till you reach the coffee creme brulee and scoop it out. Put in your mouth to let the taste brings you to another universe. I am not exaggerating it because it is really that feeling. Bitterness from the coffee plus sweetness from the ice cream plus with whisky fragrance and ended up with a little chewy delight from the cocoa crumble. Spectacular feeling!

Overall, I have nothing that I can pick on about this restaurant. If I really have to be very picky, I would say the groove music is not really suitable for a restaurant like this. Apart of that, it is their menu printing quality is pretty low class for a high class restaurant. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this restaurant to spend an unforgettable night. This restaurant is way better than the awful Marini's on 57.
