Cafe Ame Soeur, Bukit Jalil

Embarking yourself in the 19th century of the French Empire where it was at their height where Napoleon Bonarparte and his dominant power in much of continental Europe. Dine in the ambiance where the French royal used to have their meal and tea, Cafe Ame Soeur is what this restaurant is named. Ame Soeur means "Soulmate" in French. The name itself has clearly describe about this cafe is the best meet up place with your soulmate.
This restaurant is located at the congested row of shops at Jalil Link Block 2 where hunting for a parking is really a big issue here. In front of the restaurant, you will see two different kinds of design on the left and right. The left is more to traditional Chinese style seating in the living room. While of the right is the western style where they usually have a fireplace in their living room.
The restaurant itself is not very big. There are only less than 10 tables to accommodate. The overall design was exquisite to the very fine detail. All their cutlery sets are gold in color and even their phone is an antique phone design. I did not take any photos of their restroom but I can assure you that, you wouldn't mind to visit it for a couple of times.
Their drinks selection are pretty fancy and creative which makes a great place to come back again for a drink. However, due to limited seating, you might not want to occupy their seat for too long. Anyway, as you can see the cup design from the picture above, you will have a sudden feeling that you have upgraded to yourself from a noble to a royal class. You will unknowingly started to take a sip from the glass very gracefully. The drink on the left is the Lavender Latte @RM13.00++ and the right is the Matcha White @RM18.00++. The reason for the Matcha White to be this pricey is because it is using white chocolate instead of ordinary sweet syrup to sweeten the taste.
Marinara Bay @RM29.00++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - At the start, you will taste the spaghetti with rich of seafood fragrant in it. However, after a while, the saltiness is all that's left on your taste bud and getting saltier towards to the end.

Squid-Ink Pasta @RM28.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 1/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 2/5 - No matter how salty Marinara is, it just cannot beat the saltiness in this Squid Ink Pasta. The very first bite was already too salty until to the extend it numbed my whole tongue. I am not exaggerating. As if they accidentally put the salt 10 times in it. It was a really horrible pasta.

Rosemary Honey Chicken Linguine (cream based) @RM26.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Just when I started to lose hope with their food, this dish saved my near horrid dinner experience. The chicken meat was so soft as if it was going to melt in my mouth and it went so well with the creamy based linguine. The creamery based plus the rosemary fragrant made me forget about the nightmare I had from the earlier food.

Maple Thyme Roasted Chicken Rice @RM26.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Fragrant rice combined with tender soft chicken meat with slight hint of thyme really impressed me a lot. However, as usual, only the first couple of bites. After that it becomes too dry and the disappointment came.

Mushroom Bruschetta @RM15.00++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - This supposed to serve first but it was on our table after we finished all our food. We were either full and had enough of disappointment so we unable to judge this food fairly. So I will just rate it neutrally.

Soft Serve Parfait @RM12.00++ - Not really a genuine soft serve. Just a normal ice cream for me which is overly sweet.
Creme Brulee @RM15.00++ - Fine thin layered sugar crust on the top with a delightful fruit toppings on the top. The creme is a little too eggy taste but it was fine for me.
Overall, the owner splashed a lot of money and hard work to decorate the whole cafe to a unique style which we have to give extra credit on that. All they need to work on is their quality of their food to make sure this cafe to continue to get return customers instead of new customers. The only worthwhile for now is their drink which is fairly acceptable even though it is a little pricey. That's the tips for their astonishing design.
Total Damage: RM232.10 (4 + 3 pax)
Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 3/5
Food Serving Speed: Moderate
Will I Revisit?: No but recommended for a drink
