Pulp by Papa Palheta, Bangsar

If you have read my post about Chye Seng Huat Hardware at Singapore, this is another work by Papa Palhelta which is known as PULP. As of today, this is their only branch in Malaysia which is located within the paper printing industry. It is quite hard to find the location of the cafe because there is no signboard indicate or whatsoever. It can be simple when you pay attention on the left hand side of the road at the moment you turned into Jalan Riong.
A new surge box vs an old surge box. There are quite some things that they remained as it is because this building was a paper printing factory. The paper printing factory is still running behind this cafe.
This large paper cutting machine is used as a table now. Pretty cool and creative
What Papa Palhelta is different than any other cafe is they are not just selling coffee. They are sharing and educating the knowledge of coffee.
Here are some of their coffee for your to sip and sniff. It is free.
This is their coffee station with cashier at the middle. Please take note that they only accept cash transaction.
A very complete set of coffee machines to make great coffee to the customers. They do have tasting session which you can check with them on the schedule.
This is the deep brew station where you can see two serious baristas were "experimenting" the coffee.
She is so serious and very concentrate in making her coffee ignoring me keep snapping her away. LOL
They have delicious cakes and pastries to sell too. The variety is not a lot but it is good enough to accompany your cup of coffee. They do not have a lot fancy coffee menu like you usually see in Starbucks. Just tell them what you prefer to drink on that day, they will just make it for you.
Our cute Ying Ying got her complimentary Babycino!
She likes it a lot!

Overall: 4/5 - I don't normally eat a carrot cake but this carrot cake is surprisingly delicious. It contains nut in the cake which gives extra crunch with the carrot fragrance. Best carrot cake that I ever had for now.

A closer look on the delicious carrot cake.

Overall: 3/5 - This is also their festive special. Thick toast with crunchy almond and peanut. Quite delicious with the crunchy experience but I hope they can add more honey on it because it is too dry.

Too many cafe in KL but a cafe with a concept like this is truly innovative. I believe this kind of cafe will last longer because in my opinion, a good coffee house must have a good barista to maintain the quality of the coffee to every customers.
