Cilantro Restaurant & Wine Bar @Micasa All Suites Hotel

Happy New Year to all my loyal readers!!! It is great to have you all to keep driving me to continue to post more. Cilantro which is located inside the Micasa All Suites Hotel. This is the restaurant that I would recommend you to celebrate your New Year. Let me explain to you why.
If you think this is just a complimentary bread like any other restaurants, you are wrong. This bread comes with delicious butter with black caviar. You may top up for free. I wish to have this kind of butter everyday.
Another complimentary which is a sorbet tomato. A salty flavor to activate your appetite. We took a 4 course meal which cost RM260.00++. This 4-course meal comes with 2 appetizers, 1 main course and 1 dessert. It is more economical to pick their course meal rather than ala-carte because the price is much cheaper and you get to choose any listed in their menu. P.S: There are some dishes come with surcharge. So please take note.
Lightly Smoked Ocean Trout with Paella and Ikura @RM88.00++

Overall: 4/5 - Not a very big portion as you can see from the picture. However, I can assure you this is must order dish. The trout together with the fish roe are already very fresh and delicious when it exploded one by one in your mouth but what is more amazing is just the few tiny bits of paella can bring out a heavenly fragrance in your mouth. Absolutely astonishing. I can never guess this dish could be this amazing. Probably after you have tried, you will wish for this portion to be bigger.

Cold Angel Hair with Sea Urchin and Sweet Prawn @RM98.00++

Overall: 4/5 - Never had a cold pasta before but this dish just give me an entirely new experience. Smooth and delicious angel hair which comes with extremely sweet raw prawn bits and melting sea urchin. The combination is absolutely divine.

Overall: 3/5 - When you had a piece of the lobster meat, you will know how fresh it is. Even the gravy is full of lobster freshness in it. I feel being pampered by this beautiful dish.

Tourte of Unagi and Foie Gras with Mesclun @RM88.00++

Overall: 3/5 - Delicious and full fragrant crust outside which comes with a pretty special combination of eel and goose liver in it. Amazingly delicious.

This is how it is looks like inside. There are tasty juices flowing out. However after knowing how the goose liver is produced and extracted, probably this will be my last dish for me to order a goose liver. So probably you won't see any post from me about foie gras anymore. I hope you guys will understand.
Taglioni Pasta with White Truffle @RM248.00 (Surcharge RM100 for course meal)

Overall: 3/5 - First time having a pasta with truffle. I would never know a pasta with white truffle can be so delicious in taste. Truffle is a type of mushroom but it tastes more than mushroom in this dish. It is hard to explain with words especially a white truffle can cost you up to $1000 per pound. You just got to try it out yourself.

Japanese Sole with Noisette Butter @RM128.00++

Overall: 3/5 - A finely thin slice of sole which is a flatfish. I never know a tasted a flatfish before and it tasted so fresh, sweet and delicious. The buttery taste is not too strong but it is enough to tickle your taste bud. All their main course comes with a plate of fresh vegetables. Honestly, I never taste a simple vegetables like this to be so sweet and tasty. This is getting outrageous for me.

Chestnut Creme Brulee @RM38.00++

Overall: 4/5 - Even their creme brulee is different than others. Usually we will see creme brulee is served in a mini bowl but this is in a plate. Moreover, there is a chestnut to chew in it too. This is the best ever creme brulee that I ever had.

Chocolate Fondant with Raspberry @RM38.00++

Overall: 3/5 - Warm and dark chocolate flowing out evilly from the chocolate cake which mixed perfectly with either a sweet vanilla ice cream or a raspberry sorbet. Even the peanut cracker is awesomely delicious.

This is how the chocolate oozing out slowly from the cake. It makes your saliva dropping by looking at it. They have other selection of desserts which are very exciting too! I wish I can have them all.  
Lastly, our meal is ended with this "candle" which is the same like what I had before at Marini's on 57. However, this taste much better with crunchier crust. You might probably think that the portions are all very small but it can be quite filling for us. We were so full. In case, if you are a person with a huge appetite, you can always asked for their delicious bread with black caviar butter. They also served coffee and tea for free too.
On that day, I had the top 3 most expensive ingredients which are foie gras, caviar and truffle. It was really a truly different experience for me about food. If you notice, the dishes looks Japanese but Cilantro is an Italian restaurant. Well, that is what happened when you hired a Japanese chef  who is known as Chef Takashi as the master chef in an Italian restaurant. The outcome is really surprising. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to all of you even though the price would be very expensive. Well, it is a great place for a celebration.
