Ten Japanese Fine Dining @Marc Residence

Image
I have been always missing Ten Japanese Fine Dining after my last visit was almost 2 years ago. After they have moved to Marc Residence from Solaris Dutamas, I have never visiting this restaurant until this day which is a Valentines' Day. The reason I chose this restaurant is because they do not restrict their menu on that day by serving Valentines' Day menu only. The reason I do not like restaurant restrict their menu because I might not like the set that they are serving on that day. This is their sushi bar where you have your omakase course. Their omakase course is only RM300++/pax which comes with 7 outstanding course. They have a Teppanyaki course too which is cost at RM320++/pax and you are able to sit like this too in front of the chef but unfortunately this is the only course that is not available during Valentines' Day. The other courses which are Sushi Course @RM320++/pax and a 5-Course meal @RM250++/pax which you get to choose any from the ala-carte me...

Absolute Thai Gardens, The Gardens Mall

Image
It has been a while since my last Thai cuisine. So I have chosen Absolute Thai Gardens to cure the addiction. This is a very talented and skilled craving on a watermelon. I wonder how long it can last like this because this is a real watermelon.  The seating in this restaurant is ample and quite close to each other. Privacy is something this restaurant unable to provide during peak days which is on the weekend.. I really do find their design is pretty creative and attractive. All these are made from the wood. I wonder if those got any connection to Thailand or not. In a Thai restaurant, shouldn't you have a design which is related to Thailand? Phad Thai Prawn @RM20.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - If you do not know what to order in a Thai restaurant, always go for their Phad Thai. I never been to a Thai restaurant that serves a lousy Phad Thai yet. Their noodle is so smooth, tangy and not queasy at all. Somehow I do hop...

Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe @Bugis

Image
The moment I entered this restaurant, Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe, I am wondering if this is a restaurant or a souvenir shop that is selling German stuffs. As you can see from the picture above, their decoration is very exquisite and definitely you will notice they are all from Germany.  This restaurant is really big enough for them to put a lot of interesting decoration all over the restaurant. They so sell some souvenir too directly from Germany. I like these figurine the most. However, they priced too costly for me to bring back home. They have one extremely nice private room with a piano in it. It is really an excellent experience when someone is playing the piano throughout the meal. Their second floor has more tables too. This restaurant can easily accommodate 100 pax. Their wine vault is quite heavily guarded! LOL I like this the most. It is their candles. They keep on replacing a new candle and you can see their wax has dripping lon...

Honeycomb @Bugis

Image
It looks unassuming from the outside; inside the decor is somewhat sparse and minimalist. But make no mistake, here lies one of the healthiest ice cream I ever had. This place is known as Honeycomb. It is a very small shop that only sells ice cream. As you can see, they are not selling ordinary ice cream. They only have 2 types of ice creams which are fresh milk ice cream or yogurt softserve ice cream. You can choose 4 kinds of toppings to go along with it which are chocolate, matcha, caramel or apple & cinnamon.  Or you can always go for the classic one without any toppings which cost S$6.00. This is the yogurt softserve which I prefer the most because of the sourish taste is so delightful and you just can't stop scooping it. You must be puzzled with the syringe. It is a 10ml honey syringe where you top it up yourself on the ice cream. It is really delicious combination. The honeycomb which is imported from Korea is their signature. You get to chew the honeycomb wh...

Poulet @City Hall

Image
Poulet means chicken in French so from the word itself you will know two major things which are first, this is a French restaurant and second, their signature is their chicken. This restaurant started since 2012 and in less than 3 years, remarkably they already had 10 branches all around Singapore. I will not be surprised if they established themselves in Malaysia one day. I knew this casual dining restaurant from my best friend, Ailin. This restaurant gets full house so easily because of their reasonable price for a French restaurant. Do expect for a queue in front of this restaurant.  Escargot @S$8.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - The escargot is well baked and you don't get to taste any unpleasant taste from it. Maybe it is covered up by the fragrance of the garlic. Nonetheless, I have to reckon this escargot is one of the best I have tasted so far. I can assure you that you want to have this all by yourself. Why not? The pri...
