Meeples European Boardgame Cafe @SS15

When is the last time I play a card game or a board game (excluding poker cards)? I seriously cannot remember but I remembered that I always enjoy it all the time. Lately thanks to this sudden trend, we have a platform to play board games and card games again! Meeples European Boardgame Cafe is one of the successful cafe that introduce such platform to us. Our teenage life is never that bored again after being limited to cybercafe, karaoke, cinema and clubbing. Meaples is located at SS15 which is a walking distance from INTI College.

Let's get the game started! Oh by the way, you will be charged RM5.00/hour per pax. No drinks or tidbits included.
We started off with a memory game called "Chicken Cha Cha Cha". This is not a bad game which requires 2 - 4 players with the playing time less than 15 minutes per game depending the players. If the players has good memories, the games will finish way even faster. However, it is not a very addictive game. You will easily get bored in 5 - 6 rounds.
"Saboteur" is a card game which is suitable between 3-8 players which has the playing time less than 30 minutes. This game requires a very specific skill in acting and psychology. Strategy may apply in this game. Very addictive.
My silly girls were with me during the time I was flashing back my youth. Hahaha... We were playing "Saboteur" for hours before getting a board game which is called Ticket to Europe which has a longer playing time which is less than an hour per game.
Some other games played by other tables which I do not know yet.
They have a great crowds especially on weekends. When you entered the cafe, you will be directed to your seat depends on the number of pax. You may asked for your desire games or you can ask their friendly staffs to introduce a nice game which is suitable for your group's taste. They will spend their time and teach you how to play patiently. As you can see from the picture above, a guy in red shirt with the smiley black cap is one of the staff giving out his briefing about the game.

Their assets. Do not take these card games and board games lightly as they are pretty expensive and some are very rare in our country. They may need to import from the European country. For example, for Ticket to Europe board game cost RM200++.
Play in computer too much and pretty expert already? How about in board game? Are you still that good?
They have light snacks and drinks provided but no heavy meal available. So if you thinking of getting your light lunch or dinner here, maybe you should get it at somewhere else first.

Overall, it is a great approach to have such platform to bring over to Malaysia. My hometown, Kluang already started it but not as good as Meeples because they are located at INTI college, Metropolitan College and Taylor College where "affordable" and "loaded" students are able to spend RM5.00/hour for such entertainment. While RM2.00/hour in Kluang can barely survive. However, I am very optimistic with this because this is a latest trend which is just taken their baby step to replace those childish and unproductive drinking games. Demands will be increasing and it will last for quite sometime until more and more competitors are born.

By the way, their card games and board games are available to be purchased from the cafe or their website.

Total Damage: RM107.00
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Recommended?: Yes for the time being because RM5.00/hour is not a competitive price.
