Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe @Bugis

Image
The moment I entered this restaurant, Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe, I am wondering if this is a restaurant or a souvenir shop that is selling German stuffs. As you can see from the picture above, their decoration is very exquisite and definitely you will notice they are all from Germany.  This restaurant is really big enough for them to put a lot of interesting decoration all over the restaurant. They so sell some souvenir too directly from Germany. I like these figurine the most. However, they priced too costly for me to bring back home. They have one extremely nice private room with a piano in it. It is really an excellent experience when someone is playing the piano throughout the meal. Their second floor has more tables too. This restaurant can easily accommodate 100 pax. Their wine vault is quite heavily guarded! LOL I like this the most. It is their candles. They keep on replacing a new candle and you can see their wax has dripping lon...

Honeycomb @Bugis

Image
It looks unassuming from the outside; inside the decor is somewhat sparse and minimalist. But make no mistake, here lies one of the healthiest ice cream I ever had. This place is known as Honeycomb. It is a very small shop that only sells ice cream. As you can see, they are not selling ordinary ice cream. They only have 2 types of ice creams which are fresh milk ice cream or yogurt softserve ice cream. You can choose 4 kinds of toppings to go along with it which are chocolate, matcha, caramel or apple & cinnamon.  Or you can always go for the classic one without any toppings which cost S$6.00. This is the yogurt softserve which I prefer the most because of the sourish taste is so delightful and you just can't stop scooping it. You must be puzzled with the syringe. It is a 10ml honey syringe where you top it up yourself on the ice cream. It is really delicious combination. The honeycomb which is imported from Korea is their signature. You get to chew the honeycomb wh...

Poulet @City Hall

Image
Poulet means chicken in French so from the word itself you will know two major things which are first, this is a French restaurant and second, their signature is their chicken. This restaurant started since 2012 and in less than 3 years, remarkably they already had 10 branches all around Singapore. I will not be surprised if they established themselves in Malaysia one day. I knew this casual dining restaurant from my best friend, Ailin. This restaurant gets full house so easily because of their reasonable price for a French restaurant. Do expect for a queue in front of this restaurant.  Escargot @S$8.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - The escargot is well baked and you don't get to taste any unpleasant taste from it. Maybe it is covered up by the fragrance of the garlic. Nonetheless, I have to reckon this escargot is one of the best I have tasted so far. I can assure you that you want to have this all by yourself. Why not? The pri...

Choupinette @Bukit Timah

Image
Choupinette has been serving the locals since 2002 with their flattering French bread and pastries. In this 13 long years, they have slowly serving from breakfast to all day dining French restaurant except dinner.  It is a humble size restaurant which they are serving their loyal customers who can't live a day without their breads. All the meals below comes in a set of a choices of juices and a cup of coffee or tea. You can choose to have two different juices too like what I did. For your information, their juices are not fresh juice. Eggs Benedict with Ham @S$25.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - Making eggs benedict requires careful orchestration. You have to warm, crispy bacon, hot buttered toasted French bread, eggs poached perfectly to your desire, and a warm, creamy, unbroken Hollandaise sauce, all at about the same time. That's why I always prefer to have it in a good restaurant such as Choupinette. I think everyone ha...

Brussels Sprouts Two, Playground @Big Splash

Image
The Brussels sprout is a cultivar in the Gemmifera group of cabbages (Brassica oleracea), grown for its edible buds. The leafy green vegetables are typically 2.5–4 cm (0.98–1.6 in) in diameter and look like miniature cabbages. The Brussels sprout has long been popular in Brussels, Belgium, and may have originated there. Oh, sorry that was from the Wikipedia about Brussels sprout but what I am about to share with you is a restaurant which is known as Brussels Sprouts Two.  Since Brussels sprout is popular in Belgium, when a restaurant with a name with it which means they are serving Belgium cuisine. It is located just next to the East Coast Beach and you will get to enjoy the great wind from the beach. When you are in a Belgium restaurant, it is all about beer and mussels! Tomi Sushi @Katong V, East Coast

Image
Japanese food in Singapore is freaking expensive for a Malaysian like me who only earn RM. This time my Auntie Kiew Ling is nice enough to take me to my first time ever Japanese cuisine experience in Singapore at Tomi Sushi. I am too shy to order like I used to order when I was in Malaysia because I know is my aunt who is going to foot the bill in the end. So please bear with me because there will be lack of variety to introduce in this post. The seating in this restaurant is not really big. There are only about 10 tables for a 4 pax table size. They got sushi bar too where you will see the chef live in action. There are a lot of seafood variety here and this is just a part of it. Tokusen Sashimi 8 kinds @S$94.00++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 - We were told by my cousin that their signature is the chutoro and otoro. So the cheapest way is to order 8 different kinds of sashimi with 2 pieces each. The chutoro and otoro is indee...

The Tiramisu Hero @Kallang

Image
At Singapore, a cafe like this is everywhere. They opened like nobody business offering great coffee, tea, pastries or desserts. All of them are good and delicious but it is not enough to attract customers nowadays. A cafe need to be unique and stand out among the others to leave the impression on every customers coming into the cafe. After that, just let the word of mouth and the social media to do the job. Today, I will share to you a cafe which just being "different" than others and I am sharing with you through social media. Haha. The cafe is known as The Tiramisu Hero. It is located the same road with the famous CSHH cafe which I just blogged about it previously. Unique #1: A riddle at their door step for you to solve. Able to guess the answer? You will get an Iced Tea for free. T&C applies. It is a nice cozy cafe the seats are limited but the seats are not really comfortable enough for you to sit for long anyway except one table made from a chest box whic...
