Restoran Ah Chai @Jalan San Peng

My sister's mum is so excited when I ask her where to have a great hawker food experience. As you remembered, I am trying to go into hidden best hawker food in our most crowded city in Malaysia. Nevertheless, auntie really contributed a lot in my quest and I trusted 100% with her taste because she really know how to classify a food is good!

This time the hawker stall take place along the road of Jalan San Peng. If you are coming from Jalan Pasar, it will be located at your left. The name of the restaurant is called Restoran Ah Chai.

Pork Rib in Red Wine @RM13.00
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - When I first saw this dish, I was really surprised. A hawker stall like this making an extra effort to prepare a salad separately in an ice cream cup? The effort itself already score 100 marks. As for the taste, it is pretty sweet and nice. The pork rib is well cooked.

Claypot Taufu @RM8.00
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Overall: 4/5 - This simple claypot taufu has a lot of stuff inside! You will find their taufu is not the main one in there. The prawns are quite fresh too.

Curry Fish Head @RM20.00
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - Two thumbs up! The curry is spicy enough but you do not need water to cool it down. Not too salty because normally a curry fish head is quite salty instead of spicy if it is in Chinese style. The fish meat is so tender but not enough!!! Hahahaha...since it is a fish head meat, not much meat for you to eat anyway.

Ladies and gentleman, please look at the crowd here! I am not joking it is packing with peoples which I do not know where they are from. If you come in a pax which is more than 4 pax, you better be there earlier because the crowd is not going to stop especially on the weekend.
Their fiery kitchen. Everyone is stretching themselves to the max and still keeping their quality good!
This guy is the one who is making the end product of a food and make sure it is send to the right table.
A very small signboard which you might miss especially on the raining days. Few signature dish written on their board which I believe it is worth to try.
Started to in love with hawker food despite ignoring the wetness suffered during this raining season, smell from the drains and dirtiness on the floor. Well, that is the price of getting the cheap and delicious food.

Total Damage: RM47.00 (3 pax)
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Food Serving Speed: Moderate
Will I Revisit?: Yes, I kinda tempted with their Lala that I saw on the other table.
