Sing Ming Kee Cafe, Sibu

This blog will be talking about the Sibu's oldest and finest delicacies of all times which is known as the Kong Piah. Original from Sibu and authentically enough hardly able to bring out of Sibu. Even those who did made it but the taste already far from the original one. Because after I tried this one, I find that the Rihga at Kuching is not really authentic at all. This is a dry Kong Piah and not the wet type like Chong Hua Road Kong Piah.
This is the Kong Piah stall where we got to wait for more than 20 minutes for the Kong Piah to be ready.
The Kong Piah is purchased in bulk like this from the local wholesaler. One of the famous local Kong Piah wholesaler is Ta Fatt Trading which I will be talking about them in the next post.
What they do here  is to take the Kong Piah that they purchased from the wholesaler and put in the minced pork in it. The minced pork has already cook with their own home made black sauce. Once it is all filled in, they will deep fried the Kong Piah.
So here you see the minced pork after fried. Very hot and crispy while the inside is a little juicy. It is best to eat while it is hot because after it is a little stale, it is not that tasty anymore.
This is one of the famous Kong Piah stall which is highly recommended for you to try. The map location for this is pretty accurate. You can just click it at the end of this blog.
Caution: Kong Piah is really delicious to eat but as I said before, it is recommended to eat while it is hot, so you will consuming a very heaty food which is after deep fried, hot and oily which you will easily fall sick if you do not drink more water or drink Chinese herbal tea to reduce the heat in your body. Remember, nice food is consider very nice even you able to have just one. Taking more than that may cause unwanted side effect.
