Taman Monumen @Taman Tamadun Islam, Kuala Terengganu

Taman Monumen at Taman Tamadun Islam is introduced to the public in 2014 but little people know of its existence which is a pretty sad fact especially for Malaysian themselves. I traveled purposely for this spot to make a point for a visit to experience it myself.
In order to attract more tourists into here, they really put in a lot of goodies in it. It is pretty worth it to educate yourself and your children about your own religion and other religion for non-Muslim visitors.
They even come out with a passport to encourage return customers to revisit again for up to 50% discount.
This is the operation hours you should take note especially you are planning to visit on Friday.
For foreigners, I hope this bus schedule will be useful for you. Anyway, grab and uber are already operational at Kuala Terengganu district. It is much easier getting anywhere here.
Every package you purchased comes with a free meal but no drinks. Their free meal is pretty scrumptious too!
The monument park presents 22 monuments from 21 countries from all over the world across Asian, European and African continents. There are two monuments which come from the same country; the Al-Haram and Nabawi Mosque. All monuments, scaled from between 1:1.7 to 1:22 compared to the original size, are the important landmarks which marked the arrival, development and glory of Islam in that particular countries. The materials used to build all the monuments are locally produced.
Located in 10-hectares land, the park carries the concept of Edutainment Park, which means that apart from being able to enjoy the glorious views of the monuments, the visitors will also be able to learn about the history of the monuments. Parallel with this concept, the visitors will be able to observe the structures built centuries ago without using any modern technologies. The monuments are the symbol of the human civilization and they are still around until today, which proves the grandeur of architectural design in the past. Since the place maybe a little too big for some of us to walk under the sun, you can always opt for a transportation. Bicycle is cost at RM10.00 for 90 minutes but the condition our the bicycles are really poor.
There are 5 types of different buggies available for rent from 3 seaters to 13 seaters at the price of RM48.00 to RM159.00 per hour. The price is inclusive the driver cost and GST.
Surrey Bike is best for family who wants to get away from the hot sun. There are 4 seaters and 6 seaters bike available for rent at the price of RM48.00 and RM59.00 per hour respectively. There is no driver provided for this ride. You have to ride it as a team.
Tram is the cheapest among all (if you are visiting with less than 4 person in your group) at RM5.50/pax regardless age and you can hop on and hop off at 5 stations.
National Mosque, Malaysia
Kudus Al-Manar Mosque, Indonesia
Pattani Mosque, Thailand
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, Brunei
Taj Mahal, India
Badshahi Mosque, Pakistan
Dome of the Rock (Qubbah As-Sakhrah), Palestine
This is the only monument which allows you to enter it.
I was like a giant inside of it. The interior design is amazingly stunning.
Please do not touch anything inside there and respect what it is.
Great Mosque of Samara, Iraq
Lutfallah Mosque, Iran
Mausoleum of Abu Nasr Parsa, Afghanistan
An aerial view of the mosque. Most likely I will not able to visit this country in my lifetime and this replica will be just good enough to replace my disappointment.
The Sacred Mosque (Masjidil Haram), Saudi Arabia
Millions of Muslim pilgrims around the world visit this sacred place every year.
A place a Muslim must visit at least once in their lifetime.
Aleppo Citadel, Syria - Another country that's not possible to visit in my lifetime.
Mohammad Ali Mosque (Alabaster Mosque), Egypt
The Prophet's Mosque (Al-Nabawi), Saudi Arabia
Suleyman Mosque, Turkey
The Great Mosque of Qairawan, Tunisia
Al-Hambra Citadel, Spain - This site is currently closed due to the whole building is collapsing. I am not sure how long it is going to take to repair. It is quite a tedious work.
Kaiyan Minaret, Uzbekistan
It is horrifying to know that this sacred tower is used as death sentence for the criminals by throwing them off from the top of the tower.
Agadez Grand Mosque, Niger
Made from soil and the wooden stick to hold onto it. Repairing and maintenance has been always ongoing to keep the structure as it looks. The wind and rain are destroying the mosque bit by bit everyday.
Kul Sharif Mosque, Russia
Minaret of Xian, China
Sultan Mosque, Singapore
TTI Waterwheel
It takes about 90 minutes to fully explore this place. They do a good job in upkeep the landscape and building a new monument every year. However, it is not enough reason for someone to revisit. Anyway, I really do highly recommend you to at least visit once in your lifetime to open your eyes of this amazing monuments in the world which you might never know. It is important to emphasize here that even though the monuments in the Taman Tamadun Islam are based on the Islamic civilization, the park does not limit its attraction to only the Muslims. It is hoped that the concept of education and entertainment, entwined in the representation of the monuments will also appeal to the non-Muslims.
