Takumi Japanese Fine Dining, Grand Millennium Hotel

Almost every hotel has one Japanese restaurant and sometimes we do not even know it until someone like me telling you. LOL. As for me, I got to know from the offer by Groupon about this deal they are having at Takumi Japanese Restaurant which is located in Grand Millennium Hotel. The deal is by choosing any of their combination set for only RM68.00.
The ambiance is quite exquisite but I would prefer them to speak in English rather than Cantonese when taking order from us. This is not a Cantonese restaurant and this is not Hong Kong or Guangzhou. Apart of that, their green tea is chargeable at RM4.00/pax. Quite expensive.
Based on the deal, this is supposed to be Kani Inaniwa Udon Salad. I can see the kani (crab) and the salad but I can't find the udon. Hmm...

Overall: 4/5 - This is delicious and very creatively done. I thought it should be some normal shrimp ball but turned out to be the the whole crust is some soft because it is made of winter melon and together with the juicy shrimp.

Crispy California Roll? This looks like normal maki with crab stick. Hmm..another thing which is not same like what it is offered.

Overall: 3/5 - Very attractive display with dry ice blooping out from the mini jar. However, the taste of the fish is quite unpleasant especially the cuttlefish. I cannot change the choice of fish here because it is fixed. Salmon is the best while others is not as fresh as I had before in other Japanese restaurant. It had unpleasant smell in it that gave me goosebumps.

I should have memorized what it is offered in their combination set. I never think of a high class Japanese restaurant is not serving based on what they have offered. Pretty disappointing. As for the taste, my advice is do not try their raw food.
