| There are a lot of Japanese restaurants lately at Melaka but I have try none yet. I really puzzle is there a demand there to have that many Japanese restaurants? Weird. Anyway, I asked my brother who is working there to take me to the best Japanese Restaurant in Melaka. So here I am at Wa Zen Japanese Restaurant which he highly recommended. |

| They have a room with full of Japanese wine and beer. I called that seduction. Anyway, I am not getting any of those on that day. Oh ya! You are highly advised to make a booking in advance to avoid disappointment. So many people here and even I had no choice but to agree with a 9.00pm slot. |

Overall: 3/5 - Can you see one whole nicely BBQ cuttlefish there? It is so fresh and delicious. They are using the Unagi sweet sauce to enhance the taste.

Overall: 3/5 - This soft shell crab is not too oily and not too queasy. Just nicely fried and delicious! I don't think it is enough.

Overall: 3/5 - It has been a very long time since the last time I had a Takoyaki ball. My last experience was so bad until I lost interest with them because the Takoyaki ball that I ate last time was full of flour taste and the Tako is so small which I hardly know it was there. However, this restaurant make it just right! Puffy ball with juicy and sweet Tako in it.

Overall: 2/5 - Avoid this restaurant's sushi and shashimi at all cost. The rice taste weird because too much vinegar taste and the shashimi not really fresh.

Overall: 4/5 - This will be the best dish for tonight. The moment this dish is served, the fragrance of it already make us hungry again after all the meals above. The sauce and the wok taste are the main reason for this simple Udon to become this good.

Overall: 3/5 - By slightly flame the white tuna shashimi, it has successfully get rid the fishy smell and at the same time dip in their sauce which has become a perfect dish.

Overall: 3/5 - The size of the somen is so fine! It taste so good after dipping into the sauce. Absolutely delicious. What I amazed about is, it is only cost me RM10.00. Usually cost more than RM20++ and there are some above RM30++!!

| Overall, this is a great place when you are hunger for Japanese food. Just avoid ordering their sushi and shashimi. Others are just fine! I just dislike is they throw everything we ordered on our table even though it is almost full. They are like rushing us to finish up our food faster for the next customer. So my advise is order something requires to fried or cook first such as the Udon, cuttlefish and the soft shell crab. After they are served, you can order other which does not need so long to make. |
