Komura Japanese Restaurant @Corus Hotel

Today, May Lynne and I went to the most expensive ala-carte buffet which is called Komura Japanese Restaurant which is located at Corus Hotel. It is cost RM98.00++ for their dinner session but we paid only RM60.00++ because we chose to dine during lunch hour. Cheaper and of course eventually slightly lesser selection but we are able to comply with it. Their ala-carte buffet session only available on weekends.

There she is...had her first ever ala-carte buffet. She looks like a big eater but in reality, she is not at all! I have to help her to finish up all the remains. As you can see the Komura's seatings are pretty private. All their seats are inside own private room. I like this style so much!

Their ocha is chargable at RM3.50 per pax. That's pretty disappointing. I thought it should be included since it is a buffet. The worst part is they do not even bother to notify us. Start from the below photos onward, I will summarized my ratings.

Tobiko - 2/5 - Look at the wrapper coming out like that. Very unprofessional.
Spider Roll - 2/5. Limited to one order per person.
Shishamo - 3/5. Limited to one order per person.
Unagi Kabayaki - 3/5. Limited to one order per person.
Cold Soba - 2/5
California Roll - 3/5

I really like the design in this restaurant. I wonder how many rooms they have. Even the corridor road is so unique and special.
This is the restaurant outlook at the front door. Here is my overall conclusion. There are some really good which I have marked 3 marks and above. But there are some really very bad and disappointing. The disappointment is even greater when we have to pay more than other restaurant with a similar standard. Luckily I did not pay for the RM98.00++ buffet. I will kick myself for that.

This is my first time dining at Sentul and glad to know this great Chinese restaurant which is known as Restoran Makanan Laut Lau Heong. This is the crowd at 6.00pm on Sunday. Crazy right? Let you see from another angle. They just own one shop lot but seems like owning an extra 4 parking space but still they are people standing and waiting for their seat including me! Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! Never know about this place until I watched Ah Xian from the TV Programme which is known as "Taste with Jason". This restaurant is known as Chong Siew Lam Restaurant. No signboard to show this place but this is the only the crowded place in the whole street. They only serve for lunch so do expect great crowd roaming to this place between 12.00pm to 2.00pm.  Steamed Tilapia Fish Head @RM20.00 Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Tilapia is a freshwater fish and the best is to steam it. Usually you will see a long queue in front of this famous chicken rice ball, Kedai Kopi Chung Wah. I am consider lucky for being there early on weekdays where not many people or tourist creating the queue. There are two famous chicken rice ball restaurant in Melaka. This restaurant is famous for their rice ball. This is how small the restaurant is so that is why easily queue is being made. They only selling Hainan chicken which means is a steamed chicken. Do not expect any roasted chicken here. RM0.30/pc. It serves in a plate of five rice ball like this. The rice ball is indeed very fragrance. Just by the look itself you can see the ball is very well shaped and does not break very easily like other restaurants. RM18.00 for a half chicken like this. Once again being a free tour guide for a group of people from Yunnan, China to Penang for some nice local delicacies. However, they were complaining about our food is not spicy enough. As I mentioned before in my Simple Life Tracy's Kitchen post , vegetarian cuisine has becoming a trend these days and a lot of restaurant coming out with a lot of ideas to make sure you know the food they served are authentic. At Veggie Planet, they are displaying everywhere in their restaurant to tell you that they guarantee you that the food they served does not contain any artificial coloring & preservative and does not contain any poison starch product. Are you convinced? I am. I can see how the owner spent in this restaurant by showing how "organic" they are. Selling other products and free health magazine for you to read. Too bad it is in Chinese. Dim sum is always everyone's favourite even to our Muslim friends but finding a Halal and delicious dimsum is not that easy at all. After I have dined in Restoran Minmax, I know this is the best ever Halal dimsum that's available in Malaysia currently. It advised to come before 12.00pm during office hours or else you will have a hard time finding a seat. Even you able to find a seat, you will need to wait for a long time for the food to arrive.
