Moon Folk Sauna Steamboat, Sri Petaling

Image
Sri Petaling is really crowded with restaurants, cafe, ice cream parlors and with many kinds of different cuisines in here. They are all squeezing in one location. It is a food paradise for us but for them, it is like a war zone. I was invited to dine in this newly opened restaurant by my friend's boyfriend with his 3 other partners who are experts in food & beverage industry. The restaurant name is known as Moon Folk Sauna Steamboat. This restaurant has just replaced Tai Lei Loi Kei Macau Pork Burger  which I already stated in my post that they will not able to sustain in the long run. To be honest, when I saw my friend, Sharon posted this restaurant in her Facebook, I really thought it is just another common steamboat. I have no idea actually steamboat has evolved into something more than just steamboat that I used to know. Maybe because I am not an enthusiast steamboat fan. How different they have evolved to? What if I am saying a steamboat without any soup in it? Some...

Pho Vietz, Sri Petaling

Image
It has been a long time since I have tried a Vietnamese Cuisine. Thanks to my dearest sister, Elayne, I got to know there is a new restaurant which is known as Pho Vietz serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the neighbourhood. Pho Vietz in Sri Petaling is not their first restaurant. They have already established themselves in Damansara and Petaling Jaya. Vietnamese Dripping Coffee @RM7.90++ is Vietnamese signature drink. You do not have to put any sugar in it. It tastes good enough without it and even sugar.  Fresh Ciku Milkshake @RM9.90++ is something new to me. It looks like iced milk tea and the taste is so sweet which I believe they have added too much artificial sugar in it. I don't believe a fresh ciku can be this sweet. Vietnamese Cup Cake @RM7.90++ Outlook: 4/5 Creativity: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - It is somewhat same like one of the famous Hong Kong dessert which is known as Put Zhai Gou which is using sweet red bean. Meanwhile as ...

Manmaru Robatayaki & Bar @Atria Shopping Gallery

Image
Manmaru Robatayaki & Bar was nominated as Best Japanese Restaurant in 2015 in TimeOut KL but they were beaten by Kampachi @Troika . However, it is still something proud to be nominated as we all know the Japanese Cuisine competition in just Klang Valley is really crazy enough.  This restaurant is located inside the Atria Shopping Gallery and you wouldn't miss them by any chance because you can basically see the restaurant name every where especially at the ground floor. A comfortable seating for you to chill out with their Suntory Japanese beer. I reckon Suntory is the best beer among all other Japanese beer. This is one of the rare place to get a Suntory beer which is cost at RM22/glass. When opening up the menu, I wish I can order every single thing in it. They are so fancy, creative and attractive. Tofu Ebi Ankake @RM18.00++ Outlook: 5/5 Creativity: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 - They served the cold tofu in front of you first before pouring the...

BBQ Thai @Old Klang Road

Image
BBQ Thai is located along the busy Jalan Kelang Lama towards Puchong. The parking here is ample even the restaurants is crowded like this. It is obviously a Thai cuisine restaurant but their signature is their BBQ food. There are plenty of tables in this restaurant and there are many private rooms decorated very interestingly like this. There is a minimum spending in a private room like this or else charges will be applied. Tom Yam Seafood Soup (S) @RM22.00++ Outlook: 2/5 Creativity: 2/5 Taste: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Overall: 2/5 - This is their small portion seafood tom yam which can easily serve 4-5 pax. The tom yam is quite spicy but it doesn't give you the desire to drink anymore of it. Usually a good tom yam soup for me is spicy enough to make running nose and sweat over it but you still wanted to continue to drink them. It is that amazing. However, this does not have that kind of magic. Furthermore, the soup is more than the ingredients itself. Thai Coconut Ota...

Oribe Sushi @Vipod Residence, KL

Image
If you have dined in Sushi Hinata , you will know Hideaki Oritsuki-san. He has left Sushi Hinata and opens a new Japanese Omakase Restaurant with 2 other Japanese chefs which is known as Oribe Sushi. From the name itself, you can roughly guess who is the bigger boss among them.   I am here again to witness his creativity in serving Japanese cuisine to us with wholeheartedly. There are 5 types of Omakase to choose from in this restaurant. The price started from RM88++/pax and onwards. It is a pretty fair price for such a high class Japanese restaurant. All their Omakase sets have sushi in it and the difference are basically based on the number of sushi served. Only Oribe set and Omakase set has extra Sashimi moriawase and grilled dish in it with the price started from RM250++/pax. This is my long lost friend, Ms. Cheryl Liew who has lost contact with her for 7 years. You have to admit Facebook is the key that is connecting us. I am grateful to them. This is her first time ...
