The Original Homemade Kueh Teow With Deep-Fried Pork (Since 1940), Sandakan
Enough of fancy restaurant and just taste the real local delicacies at their wet market! This is the original homemade kueh teow with deep-fried pork which they have been running this business since 1940. Pretty amazing where they already last for three generations.
This is the only stall in the market with big sign-board like this. |

Overall: 3/5 - In Sandakan, this is the general used glass for hot Teh-C and it is very common for the local to order a hot Teh-C. The Teh-C here is really super delicious. Not the best I had so far but it is still a drink that you shouldn't miss at Sandakan. The price is slightly at the steep.

Overall: 3/5 - I have fried chicken all the time but rarely hear there is a fried pork. But today I tried it and I love it! Pretty fragrant and well fried pork with smooth kueh teow to accompany with it. It is really a small bowl with nothing much in it but it does taste real good.
This is a place you definitely should not miss out or you will have real regret for failing to taste the real local delicacy. This place has limited tables to seat and everyone seat on the long bench with an oblong table and share with each other. It reminds me about my school days where I had my bento on such bench and table as well.
Well, this is a good start for my Sandakan food adventure! Hooray!
