Flor Patisserie, Duxton Hill

After a disappointing PS Cafe, May Lin introduced me to another cafe which is known as Flor Patisserie. It is a norm when you are disappointed with a thing, you will find something to cover it.
Here you are...a Japanese chef called Chef Yamashita opened this shop and make all the cakes here!
Some deco in the small tiny cafe.
Oh no...we are not here for the sweets and candies...
Ta da...these are the one we are here for! So colorful and attractive! I wish to try every each one of them. These are really a well done good work by Chef Yamashita.
Hibiscus Tea @S$4.50++. Hibiscus is our National flower but never ever think of drinking it like this but mark my word that this is a real nice soothing tea. May Lin is really good in choosing the right tea at the right moment. My mood was totally blend in together with it. I really amazed with her knowledge and passion enjoying herself with good foods and drinks.
Ice Cheese Tart (Original) @S$3.20++
Outlook: 3/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 2/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 2/5 - A cold tart sounds interesting but I still prefer a hot tart right from an oven instead from a fridge. It is too hard and too cheesy. Quite hard to swallow. Skip this if possible. It is not as what the myth says it will melts in your mouth.

The Vert @S$6.95
Outlook: 5/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 4/5 - This is not a simple green tea cake because it gave me a lot of mixed feelings. First bite, it melts in a second because the bite was small. Second bite, a larger bite and it stays longer in my mouth to enjoy it. Third bite, I started to fall in love with it! Fourth bite, I hate it because it will be my last bite. So fast!

Strawberry Souffle @S$6.60++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - This is another fast melt cakes like the previous. The only different is the cream is not as delicious as before but still it is really a good cake! The strawberries are well picked and not over sourish to spoil your bud taste.

Waguri Milefeuille  @S$7.30++
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - This is what happened when you takeaway. No longer look that good but for the taste still remain intact. I really like the crispy crunchy part which makes this cake something to chew on instead of melting in your mouth like the previous ones. One thing about their cream is the cream is not those cheap cream which are overly sweet or the more you eat the more you feel queasy. To wrap up my meaning is their fresh cream is super nice!
A tiny bakery shop with only 5 tiny tables. Really hard to find a place so most people will choose to takeaway. However, without a doubt their cakes are really expensive. Sometimes we just need to reward them by let them earn more if you agree that their cakes are good.
Total Damage: S$29.85
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Food Serving Speed: Fast
Recommended?: Absolutely!
